When you first try solving a sudoku puzzle it seems difficult but once you get a handful of games under your belt it becomes a lot easier.

1. When you first start solving sudoku, avoid just putting numbers on the puzzle at random as one mistake can mess up your game beyond recovery if you do.
 

2. Scan the grid with your eyes ,left to right and than from top to bottom looking for obvious entries. Don't wandering around the puzzle aimlessly.
 

3. Be systematic when solving sudoku, start with with number one and fill in all of your possibilities than do number two.. than three working your way up to nine. After you reach nine, restart at number one and go through it again.
 

4. Try and focus on the minigrids, as opposed to just working the rows and columns.
 

5. The greatest perhaps of all tips when solving sudoku is don't rush through the puzzle trying to solve it!  Work on perfecting your techniques and the speed will follow.
